A Rose speaks to the soul


‘ A ROSE 🌹 ’

A rose feels special to humans because it is more than just a flower. It carries deep emotions and meanings. A rose often represents love, beauty and care. When someone sees a rose, it can bring a sense of happiness, warmth and even comfort to the heart.

                                         


The soft petals of a rose remind people of gentleness and affection. Its fragrance creates a calm and peaceful feeling, making people feel relaxed and joyful. At the same time, the thorns on a rose symbolize that even something beautiful can have pain, just like human life and relationships.

To many people, a rose is a way of expressing feelings that words cannot fully explain. It can show love, friendship, apology, or even remembrance. That is why a simple rose can touch a human heart so deeply.

In the end for me, a rose is not only just seen by the eyes but felt by the heart. It is a small symbol of the powerful emotions that make us human.

‘ Waiting for Our Academic Journey to Begin🎓’  I am currently a first-year student at the University of Visual and Performing Arts. In our batch, most students were born in 2004, but there are also students born in 2002, 2003, and 2005. However, the sad situation is that although we completed our G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in 2023–2024 and were selected to the university in the same year, we are still at home. Our academic activities started online in September 2025, but even by February 2026, we are still not attending to physical lectures.            We were supposed to start physical lectures on the 23rd of March 2026, but due to a global issue, it was postponed again. As students, we truly wish to start our academic journey on time, complete our degree within the proper period, and move forward with our own careers and lives. The most unforgettable role in my life

           ‘  The period I spent as the head prefect of my school  ’    is my most unforgettable leading role in my life. I am the former head prefect of St.Sebastian’s Central College Katuneriya in 2022-2023.                         My school was established on 1873 AD. Since that period onwards, I am the first and only head prefect that emerged from the dancing section. During my duty period there were 90 prefects under me and the other head prefect girl , such as 4 Deputy head prefects , 58 senior prefects and 28 junior prefects.
